Liefdesverhaal: We met one Friday night in Stellenbosch, when Tristan was in Franschhoek for work and Simone skipped cooking dinner. As all good Stellenbosch love stories start; A glass of wine with friends at Brampton’s turned into late night dancing at Mystics. This sparked a connection that led to many a December fling, late-night adventures, endless phone calls, and a trip to Bali. Tristan eventually moved provinces and we then spent our entire lockdown at our beach house. Our love story culminates in a proposal at the beach house where we spent lockdown surrounded by our family and friends!
Spesiale oomblik van troudag: We got married in a church over 150 years old. A watercolour illustration of each guest. Our one-eyed dog on our wedding cake, a shot of tequila to greet you at the top of the stairs and a handwritten note from us for every person in attendance. We played musical chairs (for a bottle of tequila) and taught everyone how to line dance. We ended with piano man which is a Stellenbosch tradition.
